What's the difference between Live and Flex alerts?

Live Alerts

Live Alerts are best when you know exactly where and when you want to travel.

These alerts regularly check for open spots on the specific flights and dates you pick. After you set up a Live Alert, we'll start looking for your flight within 12 hours. We'll also let you know if someone (even you) manually looks up that same flight and finds a seat available. You'll always get an email update. If you've allowed it, you'll also get a notification straight to your phone. This way, you'll know about any openings for the trip you want as long as they match your request.

Choose Live Alerts if you have a set destination and fixed travel dates.

Flex Alerts

Flex Alerts are for times when you're not tied to exact plans.Unlike Live Alerts, these don't automatically search on a fixed timetable just for you. Instead, you get updates when other people search for trips that happen to match what you're looking for. This means you might not see every single available seat (especially from smaller airports if no one is searching for them). But it gives you lots of freedom.

You can watch for flights even if you're only sure about where you're leaving from, where you're going, or your travel month. You can even search for flights to or from whole continents. For example, you could set an alert for a Business Class flight from Europe to "Anywhere" in July. If someone else finds a flight that fits this general description using the travel program you picked, we'll let you know.

Flex Alerts are great if you're open to different places to go, fly from, or travel on different dates.
